Get creative with Home is where the Heart is

Get creative during the Lockdown with this fun project from Home is where the Heart is

We know that getting creative through arts, crafts and anything in between, can improve our wellbeing. So we’re really pleased to be working in partnership with Spark Somerset and Natasha Rand, of Creation Generation in Yeovil, to help people release their inner creativity this autumn.

What’s the project?

Home is where the Heart is is an arts and crafts initiative that provides a simple, easy to follow guide to help people design a small house.

This fun, easy-to-follow project has come at a great time, providing a great activity to do at home during the second national lockdown.

Photos of the houses will accompany designs in the Denner’s shop window on Yeovil High Street for the whole community to enjoy.

Those who want their design to be featured in the window can email natasha.rand@creation-generation.com with theirs. Please attach any photos as a JPEG.

Who can take part?

Anyone can take part in this project; they just need to find some creative materials to create their house with. Take a look at the design guide here.

Once designed, we’re encouraging everyone to pop a battery powered tea light in their house creation and take a photo of it sitting in their window.
