Between April and December 2020, we supported 163 people into full time and part time jobs, helped 43 people find better jobs, supported 231 people with their CVs, and provided 3,361 one-to-one employability sessions.
Here's how we helped James
James, an Abri resident living in Windsor, found himself out of work in January 2020 when his temporary contract came to an end. Covid-19 meant jobs were scarce. He attended our EmployAbility webinars to help create his CV, cover letter, apply for jobs, and learn interview techniques. He was anxious about interviews though, and so Jenn, our Employment Support Advisor, helped him with some top tips, held mock interviews, and helped build his confidence. And it worked! James managed to secure a temporary contract at Legoland, and after one month, was put on a permanent flexible contract so he will have work even when the park closes.
